Introduction

Weather Information System (WIS) is an integrated plantform for managing and analyzing weather information collected from our won product, InfoNode/InfoStation as well as other repositories including Korean Meteological Administration(KMA).

InfoNode/InfoStation is customized platform for collecting micro-climate, including 1) air temperature, 2) air humidity, 3) soil temperature, 4) soil humidity, 5) soil electroconductivity (EC), 6) water temperature, 7) wind direction, 8) wind speed, 9) light intensity, 10) air pressure, 11) CO2 pressure, 12) O3 pressure, 13) CO pressure, 14) find dust, and 15) precipitation.

AWS Data collector collects data provoded by KMA perodically, which are minute data of at least air temperature, precipitation, wind speed and direction. Currently 1,780,835,305 data have been collected from 423 AWS station.

These collected data can be processed based on many purposes, such as finding correlation between weather and biological phenomena, and identifying weather patterns. To conduct these, analyses pipeline has been constructed in the system, which supports several batch calculation, calculating correlation as well as web interface to conduct these analyses under the GlobalScrap®.

Collected and analyses data can be presented on the web interface, http://www.widb.info/, to do more researches or analyses.
